For the purposes of subregulation (2), if the asbestos removal work must be carried out by the holder of a Class A asbestos removal licence, the independent competent person must be a licensed asbestos assessor.
In this regulation, a clearance inspection is an inspection of an asbestos removal area after asbestos removal work has been completed to verify that the area is safe for normal use, that — (a) includes a visual inspection; and (b) may include air monitoring.

In this regulation — WHS management plan means the initial plan and all revised versions of the plan.
Subject to subregulation (2), the principal contractor for a construction project must ensure that a copy of the WHS management plan for the project is kept until the project to which it relates is completed.
